No Exams Across the Country till June 15,2021

Federal education minister Shafqat Mahmood declared that no examinations would be conducted across the country until June 15. All exams are delayed due to the severe situation of coronavirus all over the country.

Shafqat Mahmood stated that the examinations could be held after 15 July and August afterward while the O level examinations would be taken in October and November. All exams are postponed by June 15, 2021. However, after reviewing the situation, a final decision will be taken in the third week of May after reviewing the situation.

Scheduled matric exams to start from the last week of May are now delayed again. So, the date sheets of all the boards will be revised again. Federal Minister, Shafqat Mahmood said that O and A level exams are being postponed and now will be held in the October-November cycle.

However, the students who want to apply to foreign universities can appear in A2 exams that will be held as per schedule. Shafqat Mahmood said that only 50 students would be allowed in one center for A2 exams.

He also said that the decision had been taken to address the "health concern of students and parents". He stated that university admissions in Pakistan will be adjusted for grade 12 and A2 students who will be taking exams in Oct-Nov. "This is to ensure no one loses a year," he wrote. He said that it will be ensured that University admissions will remain open till January.

In view of the third coronavirus wave, the students and social media activists demanded the government to cancel the Cambridge exams as well. Many people posted a number of videos of the Cambridge exam centers as evidence to show that SOPs were not being properly followed.

Federal Minister, Shafqat Mahmood said that situation would be continuously monitored and checked, and another meeting will be conducted in the third week of May to examine the situation. In the next meeting, The decision on whether to further postpone the exams or not will be taken.
